Interior design concept for a new boutique hotel in Haarlem. Haarlem is facing a full overnight market and the quality of overnight stays is high-end. Our challenge was to develop a striking but future-proof concept and product, wit limited budget..

The overall idea was to create an atmosphere where you can relax and recharge, to again discover the city and have fun. The rooms offer quality, durability and tranquility in a unique historic building, as if you come home to a good friend. To achieve this experience, there were used two concepts for the look & feel of the interior. First; the colourful, eclectic playfulness of the public / communal part; towards fun fair, theater, art. Second; the tranquility, the feeling of nature (corpse) and sustainable in the rooms; outside comes to inside the city When the guest crosses the threshold of the common area, they become swallowed by a multitude of colours, materials and impressions.
